Privacy Policy
Effective: August 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Apotheosis Technologies, LLC (“Apotheosis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the MileGauge mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”). MileGauge is an independent app and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any delivery platform.
Our core commitment
We do not sell your personal information. MileGauge is built as a driver’s tool, not a data-brokerage business. We use your information to operate the features you turn on and to keep the app working and improving — not to resell your driving activity to delivery platforms or other third parties.
Information we collect
Information you provide. Account details (such as your email and authentication information) and the data you enter or capture in the app — shifts, trips, stops, payouts, tips, wait times, mileage, vehicles, goals, and related notes.
Location information. With your permission, MileGauge accesses your device location to calculate mileage and draw your route while you are tracking a shift. Depending on your device settings, this can include location while the app runs in the background during an active shift. You can turn location access on or off at any time in your device settings; some features (such as automatic GPS mileage and the route map) depend on it.
Information collected automatically. Basic device and app information and diagnostic, crash, and usage data that help us keep the Service reliable and understand how it is used.
Community wait times. If you use the community/live wait-time feature, wait-time observations may be combined with those of other drivers and shown in aggregate to reflect conditions near you. Aggregated wait-time data is designed to describe conditions, not to identify individual drivers.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
- Calculate your earnings, mileage, and analytics from the data you log.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Keep the Service secure and prevent misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Third-party services we use
We share limited information with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the Service. These currently include:
- Apple App Store, Google Play, and RevenueCat — to sell and manage subscriptions (in-app purchases). Your payment-card details are handled by the app stores under their own terms; we do not receive or store your card number.
- Mapbox — to render maps and your route; it receives location data needed to display the map.
- Geocoding providers (Google, Geoapify) — to turn map coordinates into place and merchant names; they receive the location coordinates being looked up.
- U.S. National Weather Service — to show a local weather forecast; it receives approximate location coordinates.
- Brevo — to send sign-in codes and account emails; it processes your email address to deliver them.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting, to detect and fix bugs.
- Vercel Analytics — aggregate, cookieless usage analytics for our website (the app itself uses no third-party analytics).
- Matomo — cookieless website analytics (page views, referrers) that we self-host on our own infrastructure to understand traffic. No tracking cookies are set and the data is not shared with any third party.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud hosting that stores your account data and enables multi-device sync.
These providers may process data as described in their own privacy policies. This list may change as the Service evolves; we will update this policy accordingly.
How we share information
We share personal information only: with the service providers above to operate the Service; when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice as required). We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and then delete or de-identify it, unless a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion of your account and data (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can access, export, or delete your data from within the app, and control location, notification, and tracking permissions through your device settings. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU/UK), you may have additional rights over your personal information, including to access, correct, delete, or restrict its use. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Controls for do-not-track features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature you can activate to signal a preference not to have your online activity monitored. No uniform industry standard for recognizing DNT signals has been finalized, so we do not currently respond to them; if a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will update this policy. (California law requires us to disclose this.)
U.S. state privacy rights
If you are a resident of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, or Virginia, you may have specific rights regarding your personal information. These rights are not absolute and may be limited in some cases by applicable law.
Categories we collect. In the past twelve (12) months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as your email, account name, IP address, and device identifiers); internet or network activity (diagnostic, crash, and usage data); geolocation data (your device location, when you enable it); and, as sensitive personal information, your precise geolocation — collected only with your permission and used only to provide mileage and route features. We do not collect protected-classification characteristics, commercial or purchase history, biometric information, audio or visual recordings, professional or education information, or inferences used to build a profile about you.
No sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. We have not sold, and do not sell, your personal information, and we have not “shared” it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We do not use your information for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Your rights. Depending on your state, you may have the right to: confirm whether we process your personal information and access it; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; obtain a copy of the information you provided; be free from discrimination for exercising these rights; opt out of the sale of your data, targeted advertising, or profiling (though, as noted, we do none of these); limit the use of sensitive personal information; and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
How to exercise your rights. Submit a request by emailing legal@apotheosistech.com. To protect your information, we will verify your identity before acting on a request; if we cannot verify it from information we already hold, we may ask for additional information used solely for verification. An authorized agent must provide proof of authorization. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision; if your appeal is denied, you may contact your state attorney general.
California “Shine the Light.” California residents may request, once a year and free of charge, information about the categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes. Because we do not share personal information for third-party direct marketing, we have none to report, but you may confirm this by contacting us at the details below.
Children
MileGauge is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will change the “Effective” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice in the app or on this site.
